MICEX

The Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (MICEX) is one of the largest universal stock exchanges in the Russian Federation, CIS, and Eastern Europe. In 2005, the MICEX aggregate turnover (currency and securities operations combined) totaled USD 932.2 billion. It serves as a basis for the nationwide system of trading in currencies, stocks, and derivative instruments, covering Moscow and Russia's major financial and industrial centers. The MICEX Group, which includes the MICEX Stock Exchange, the National Mercantile Exchange, the MICEX Settlement House, the National Depository Center, the National Clearing Center, regional exchanges, and regional settlement centers, serves more than 1700 market players.

RTS

Established in 1995 to consolidate separate regional securities trading floors into a unified regulated Russian securities market, the Russian Trading System (RTS) Stock Exchange offers a wide variety of trading instruments and financial services. Investors can trade stocks, bonds, futures, and options (with ruble and foreign currency settlement) in the real-time mode. Internet trading is also available. The RTS has developed a comprehensive electronic documents interchange system (EDI) that significantly reduces risks and minimizes customers' transaction costs. The RTS Index, the official Exchange indicator first calculated on September 1, 1995, has since become the benchmark in Russian securities' industry. Starting from 1998, the Depository Clearing Company (DCC) has handled all clearing procedures for the RTS: the DCC receives shares that have been traded through the RTS and holds them in its nominee accounts. RTS also arranges the clearing of the deals.

SPBEX

The Saint-Petersburg Stock Exchange (SPBEX) is a widely known marketplace for trading commodities and derivatives. The Exchange has served as a nationwide trading floor to execute trades with oil (Brent, Urals) and EUR/USD derivative contracts in the real-time mode. Trading in physical commodities (petroleum products, sugar, etc) is the SPBEX another flagship financial service. The Direct Market Access (DMA) is available in several different options, including leased lines connectivity and trading via the RTS and the SPBEX networks.

LSE

BCS obtained its LSE membership in October 2005. With the London Stock Exchange becoming another powerful attraction point for the Russian "blue chip" stocks, BCS and its domestic and global clients are now able to take full advantage of transactions executed with Russian ADRs/GDRs on the LSE International Order Book.

OTHERS
